Pōkeno is one of New Zealand’s many hidden treasures. Nestled in a warm, misty, humid valley, protected by the volcanic hills which from which we source our pure natural spring water, it provides the perfect location for making and maturing single malt whisky.
Our ingredients connect us to our culture, our history and our environment; our passion and expertise enable us to honour them. We are privileged to have our own source of pure spring water that has trickled down over centuries from our surrounding volcanic hills. Our New Zealand Barley is grown by three family-owned farms in the rich and fertile South Island. Unburdened by expectation, unhurried by nature, we craft bold, creative single malts that capture the pure spirit of Aotearoa New Zealand.
