Premium spirits importer and distributer, Mangrove UK has appointed four new team members to their expanding sales and business development team. David Fisher, Jack Gething and Lewis Richards will take on Business Development Manager (BDM) roles and Bruna Sedo Molina has been appointed UK Brand Ambassador for El Bandarra. As the new team members officially joined Mangrove on the first day of the latest English lock-down restrictions, they are all looking forward to the start of December when they can properly embrace their new roles.
David Fisher will take on the Central England territory, covering Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Oxford and Cambridge. David brings with him wide experience; his most recent role was as Partner Manager at Maverick Drinks. He is excited about taking on the new challenge and looking forward to representing the Mangrove brands for the on-trade.
Jack Gething lands the BDM London role after returning from Mexico earlier in the year, where he was Export Sales Executive for Mezcal Amores and Mezcal Verde. Experienced in Commercial Sales and Brand Activation, Jack is looking forward to championing the Mangrove portfolio in the capital.
Lewis Richards will cover the South West and South Wales as BDM, his previous experience includes working in the sales teams for Merchants Heart Tonic and Molson Coors so the on-trade drinks market is one he’s very comfortable in. He’ll also be focussing on premium bars and regional groups within the territory.
Finally, Bruna Sedo Molina has been appointed as the first El Bandarra UK Brand Ambassador. She’ll be tasked with advocating the vibrant aperitif brand from Barcelona, with a particular focus on its newest expression, EL Bandarra Al Fresco, which was launched worldwide in July 2020. Bruna will be working alongside UK Brand Manager Jonathan Zammit-Tabona to continue to grow the brand and build on their on-trade partnerships.
Nick Gillett MD of Mangrove said:
“We are a growing business and despite the current restrictions on our industry and a challenging year, we have been able to expand our portfolio introducing new brands including Clonakilty, Abasolo, Nixta and Ojo de Tigre from Casa Lumbre and Bloody Drinks. We also continue to work with some of the world’s leading premium spirits brands and it’s been a pleasure to work with them as they develop and grow. The hiring of new talent is critical to the ongoing success of our excellent team. I am delighted to welcome David, Bruna, Jack and Lewis to Mangrove. I’m confident these driven and creative recruits will help us achieve success in 2021 and beyond.”
