As Chocolate Week fast approaches, two brands committed to the Fairtrade mission have joined forces to offer a mouth-wateringly tasty treat. FAIR. Drinks and Divine Chocolate have partnered up to create unique cocktails with a chocolate twist which combine FAIR’s vodka, rum, gin, coffee and cacao liqueur with some seriously good Divine chocolate. These indulgent treats will be on offer in selected bars in London during Chocolate Week 15 – 21 October.
Eleven brilliant bars and restaurants across London will be offering the FAIR / Divine cocktails and pairings, they are: Chez Antoinette, Clarette, Demon wise and partners, Frenchie, Rhythm kitchen, Opium, 68&Boston, Jinjuu, Ethika, Henson’s bar, Milk and honey as well as various venues in Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh.
Jeremy Pascal, General Manager at Opium has designed five fantastic new cocktails which will be available during the promotion they include ‘Affairgato’, which combines FAIR. Rum Paraguay, FAIR. Cafe liqueur, house-made vanilla ice cream and Divine Chocolate Pink Himalayan Salt. And ‘Celebration’, which features FAIR. Vodka with Red fruit & basil cordial, fresh lemon juice a splash of Prosecco Garnished with a strawberry coated with Divine White Chocolate & basil.
Both FAIR. and Divine are known for their dedication to Fairtrade and make it their goal to ensure farmers are paid a fair price for their produce. FAIR., which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is one of the UKs leading sustainable drinks brands producing rum, vodka gin and liqueurs. They source the very finest of ingredients from all over the world ensuring that the people involved at every stage are treated equally. Divine Chocolate, the only Fairtrade chocolate company owner by farmers, believes business should be a force for good. With almost half their profits going to the farmers who own the company and 2% of its turnover being invested in farmer projects that empower women, improve farming techniques and help protect their rainforest.
