The English Whisky Co. has firmly established itself as England’s oldest and most prestigious whisky maker. From farming grain to creating whisky, Andrew Nelstrop and his team have 14 years worth of whisky production under their belts. Inside their four warehouses lie an exciting and varied selection of small batch releases in the pipeline with some already available.
The English – Triple Distilled Small Batch
Distilled in December 2013 and bottled March 2021. This triple distilled delight is full of vanilla custard and orange oil with dried fruit and dark chocolate bordered by subtle liquorice on both the nose and the palate.
The English – Vintage 2010 Heavily Peated Small Batch
Aged in refill American Oak, this whisky was distilled and casked in April 2010, bottled in April 2021. With 63ppm expect sweet burning embers and brine, with leather and light pear. Taste candied apples, pears and soft fruits, layered on top of a creamy, sweet and smokey palate.
The English – 1st Fill Bourbon Cask Matured Small Batch
Aged in 1st Fill American Oak barrels, this whisky was casked and distilled in February 2016 and bottled in May 2021. On the nose there is creamy vanilla, milk chocolate and toffee fudge. Spiked with green apple and orange acidity. Taste soft fresh mint with a hint of spice. With light notes of chocolate and fresh fruit.
